After Ryan attended her first JDRF One Walk, she says she felt driven to spread awareness about T1D and do everything she possibly could to help find a cure for T1D. She hasn’t slowed down since! Ryan has participated in a variety of JDRF events, has organized several events of her own, and spoken to various groups in her community to educate people about T1D.

Ryan is also active in Future Farmers of America, student council leadership, plays on the tennis team, and is near-fluent in American Sign Language. Outside of school, Ryan loves skateboarding, listening to a wide variety of music, anything Star Wars or Marvel related, and caring for her pet bearded dragon.
