When Madilyn was diagnosed with T1D, she dove right into getting involved with things like JDRF One Walk, JDRF Ride, and has served as a Youth Ambassador for the past two years. In addition to raising money for T1D research, Madilyn is also passionate about raising T1D awareness through her TikTok account, speaking about life with T1D at school, and supporting newly diagnosed children and their families. Advocating for a cure is important to Madilyn’s whole family — her aunt Stacy was diagnosed with T1D as a child.

Madilyn loves playing competitive soccer, swimming, art, riding her dirt bike, and spending time with her family and friends. Madilyn is proud of her academic accomplishments, and plans to become a teacher one day. When asked what she is most proud of though, Madilyn is quick to answer “Volunteering with JDRF, I love feeling like I’m making a difference in the lives of people who are like me.”
