Age: 13
Age at Diagnosis: 7

If there is one word to describe Paige, it’s definitely the word “resilient.” Paige was diagnosed with T1D when she was in the first grade, and in early 2022 was diagnosed with POTS, an autonomic nervous system disorder that can make performing even simple tasks difficult. Paige had to miss 3 months of school and 8 months of swim practice, but through determination and hard work in physical therapy, she’s back at school – maintaining her honor roll status and participating in swim team and cross country again! In her free time, Paige enjoys graphic art and hopes to be either an interior designer or a teacher as an adult. She also dreams of competing in the Olympics for swimming, cross country, or triathlons!

Paige brings the same resilience and determination to raising awareness about T1D and advocating for the T1D community. She has participated in JDRF One Walks, given presentations, and participated in Advocacy meetings. Paige is looking forward to bringing her determined attitude to Washington, DC to keep advocating for the T1D community!
