There are a lot of impressive things about Evan, but his kindness might be the most impressive of them all. “I like to make people feel better when they’re sad. I keep them company, tell them a joke, or sit with them at the lunch table if they’re having a bad day. It’s important to me that everyone is happy.” Evan also loves anything related to music and performing, and can play several songs on the piano by ear! Evan’s dreams for the future include going to college and maybe even playing in a rock band!

With his kind heart and outgoing personality, it’s no surprise that Evan is a fantastic advocate for the T1D community! Evan was diagnosed with T1D at age 2, and has sat in on roundtable discussions with representatives, spoken to leaders about insulin affordability, and has helped his mom by attending support group meetings with her and talking to all the other kids living with T1D.
