Age: 11
Age at Diagnosis: 4

Cora loves arts and crafting, especially drawing and making Barbie clothes, and she recently started to teach herself how to crochet. She is a member of the Service Club and Honors Choir at school, and also active in Girl Scouts, ballet, and is a blue belt in Taekwondo. When she gets older, Cora wants to turn her love for animals into a career and become a veterinarian.

Cora and her family are very active with JDRF. From raising money for T1D research through their One Walk team to working together to do outreach to families impacted by a recent T1D diagnosis, Cora says she enjoys connecting with other people who live with T1D. “I have made so many friends and memories and felt like I belong with other kids who have this disease. I think my family and I would be very lonely without JDRF.”
