Claire is making big things happen. Her busy schedule includes cheerleading, student council, Key Club, the school play, Speech Club, choir, concert band, jazz band, pep/marching band and much more! Claire is particularly proud of being the 1st Vice President of her district Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) program and of her leadership in 4-H. She is a natural leader, and mentors younger students in her school with T1D. After 10 years of having T1D, Claire has seen many improvements in the technology she uses. Claire says, “I’m excited for future advancements not only in finding a cure, but other management such as smart insulin, beta cell therapy and so much more.”
