Teagan enjoys being active and sporty, spending time at the zoo, playing with her dog and is always up for watching a good movie. Teagan is also active with JDRF Australia, and was comforted to find the T1D community through JDRF One Walk after her diagnosis. Since then, Teagan has been an enthusiastic advocate, speaking to her local government leaders about why T1D research and progress are so important. Teagan looks forward to coming to Capitol Hill and “meeting as many other people with T1D as I can, hear other people’s stories about what living with T1D is like where they live, and speaking about what it’s like to live in Australia with T1D.”
