Age at T1D diagnosis: 8

Chloe is proud of to take all honors and AP classes—and maintain a 3.8 GPA—while dealing with the effects of blood sugar highs and lows. One of her favorite things to do is bake. She says, “I look forward to the day when I can taste all my recipes, as many times as I want, without having to worry about correctly counting carbs.” Chloe is a JDRF Youth Ambassador and volunteers and participates in her local JDRF One Walk and JDRF Galas. She also mentors younger newly diagnosed students at her school. When she grows up, Chloe wants to work with children with disabilities. “I know what it is like to have something that makes a child feel different and hurt, and I want to help them overcome their fears and their insecurities.”
