Ethan spends a lot of time promoting awareness about living with T1D in his home country of Australia. He holds fundraisers and makes presentations about T1D at his school, and his family frequently advocates to Members of Parliament. His most exciting advocacy accomplishment is helping to get continuous glucose monitors fully subsidized for children 21 years and under, and partially subsidized for people over 21.

Ethan has found community through participating in the JDRF One Walk and also serves as a peer support mentor. “It has been nice to meet friends going through the same thing as me.” While managing his T1D, Ethan loves to keep active. In his spare time, Ethan likes playing tennis, netball, and cycling, and also enjoys real estate and interior design.
