Christina can usually be found spreading awareness around T1D. Whether she’s speaking about T1D in her speech and debate or English classes, posting on social media, serving as a JDRF Youth Ambassador, or writing about the importance of community when you live with T1D, she’s committed to educating those around her. “Being able to share my story and informing people all around me of how diabetes affects my life is a privilege that I take full advantage of.”

When she’s not educating people about life with T1D, Christina can be found on the basketball court, or horseback riding and volunteering at the barn. When Christina gets older, she’d like to become a psychologist and help children with various chronic illnesses, including T1D, to help them navigate and overcome the difficulties that come along with chronic illness.
