Bethany has a personal goal: to spread awareness and help other people with T1D better manage their disease. “I have turned this seemingly everlasting obstacle into my personal drive to triumph in the midst of adversity.” She has already made progress on her goal by speaking with her local Representatives about the importance of Federal funding for T1D research. She also has a JDRF One Walk team, Bethany’s Crew, supported by a huge community of family and friends.

Bethany is also a dedicated student. She loves all things STEM and is part of a club at school that is building and programming lunar satellites to go to the moon! As an adult, Bethany envisions herself becoming an aerospace engineer or astrophysicist working to lead the future of space flight.
