Isabella always tells people, "I was born to dance!" She's been ballet and tap dancing since she was 22 months old, which was just four months before she was diagnosed with type 1. After the diagnosis, Isabella says her family "jumped right in, and we put all our passion and energy into getting involved with JDRF."

Isabella always tells people, "I was born to dance!" She's been ballet and tap dancing since she was 22 months old, which was just four months before she was diagnosed with type 1. After the diagnosis, Isabella says her family "jumped right in, and we put all our passion and energy into getting involved with JDRF." Her Walk team, "Belle's Butterflies," has raised $15,000, and Isabella has recorded two public service announcements to publicize the Walk on local radio. She's run three lemonade stands that have raised $500 for JDRF, and participated in two Promise to Remember Me Campaigns. "Little kids really can do very big things!" Isabella says. One day, Isabella would like to teach ballet, music, art, and swimming. She also wants to continue to be involved in the fight against diabetes in any way she can, raising money for research and spreading awareness.
