Age: 12
Age at T1D diagnosis: 2

Hailing from Australia, Will enjoys playing soccer, riding scooters and going to sleepovers with his friends, even though, he says, “Diabetes comes with me everywhere.” Will has been a JDRF Youth Ambassador in Australia since he was three years old, and has had the opportunity to meet members of Parliament and even the Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull. Will is excited to travel to the United States and meet people in America with T1D. He says, “I feel very lucky to be able to represent Australia at the JDRF 2017 Children’s Congress in Washington, D.C. I can’t wait to talk to other kids from different countries about how they manage their diabetes and tell them about what it’s like for me in Australia.”
