Age: 10
Age at T1D diagnosis: 2

As an artist whose work has been shown at The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, an advocate with organizations throughout the T1D community, and a star in a low-sugar juice ad, Tristin wears many hats in his fight against T1D. But the commitment to a cure is what unifies all his efforts. “A cure is important, because then I can focus on all the other things in my life instead of all the emphasis being on my disease.”

And there are a lot of exciting other things in Tristin’s life. He plays basketball, rocks out on the guitar, and enjoys after-school art classes. Tristin also was an honorary member at the Father of the Year Awards in Grand Rapids, MI, where he helped raise funds.
