Age: 6
Age at T1D diagnosis: 5

Skye is usually described as strong, brave, and “one tough cookie!” After her T1D diagnosis, these words became even more descriptive of how she handles things—from cleaning her insulin injection sites to poking her fingers to test her blood-sugar levels. As her friends and family put it, “Skye’s got this!” She loves music, art, school, horseback riding and playing soccer with her older brother. Skye is looking forward to being in Washington this summer to advocate for the T1D community, and show everyone just how resilient T1D kids really are!
