Age: 14
Age at T1D diagnosis: 7

Schuyler loves sports, baking and traveling with her family. When she grows up, she wants to be involved with T1D by helping others manage the disease and find a cure. Her JDRF One Walk team ‘Schuyler’s Cupcakes’ has participated in eight JDRF Walks and raised more than $500,000 for JDRF. Since her diagnosis, Schuyler is proud of what she has accomplished with JDRF and is ready to continue making a difference. She says, “Having diabetes for half of my life has been a rollercoaster experience, filled with good and bad days. Because of this, I am proud to travel to Washington, D.C., to share my story and advocate for the important needs of the T1D community.”
