If there’s one word that describes Safa, it is definitely the word active! She plays competitive soccer and has her red striped belt in taekwondo. Rain or shine, Safa is always on the go.

Safa was diagnosed with T1D at 14 months old, and is no stranger to educating the people around her about life with T1D. She is always looking for ways that she can give back to her community, and hopes to one day use her love for writing to write books about diabetes for young kids to read. “I want them to know that they can do anything they want, even if they have diabetes!”
