Age: 15
Age at T1D diagnosis: 7

Riley has been active her entire life, and when she was diagnosed with T1D at age seven, she knew she wasn’t going to let it stop her from doing the things she loves. When she’s not on the softball field or in the dance studio—where she both performs and teaches—she’s raising awareness about T1D, and fundraising through her JDRF One Walk team Riley’s Rockers who have contributed $42,000 to diabetes research over the past seven years. Riley is looking forward to bringing her passion for T1D advocacy to Children’s Congress saying, “Advocating for those living with T1D like me makes me feel like I’m really making a difference in my community and in the lives of others.”
