Reese is very excited that she made the swim team this year, and is grateful for her continuous glucose monitor that allows her mom to watch her blood sugar while she swims. When she’s not swimming, you can find her tumbling, riding her bike, or reading. Reese is a JDRF Youth Ambassador and creates videos for social media that show what life is like with T1D. She advocates for the people who can’t afford the T1D supplies that make managing the disease so much easier.

Because of her T1D, Reese has spent quite a bit of time at the school nurse, where she has watched them take care of kids who need help. This has inspired her to be a school nurse when she grows up. “They are kind and wonderful, I want to be just like them.”
