Ohad enjoys staying active, whether he's playing tennis, scoring a goal in soccer, participating in Boy Scouts, or helping to raise awareness about diabetes with his JDRF community. He says that he does not allow his diabetes to interfere with his life, and that his friends are understanding and helpful when he needs them. In fact, his class celebrated the one-year anniversary of his insulin pump by throwing a party with cake and candles. As a delegate, Ohad hopes to represent people with diabetes in Israel, and to influence decision makers to increase resources allocated to diabetes research. Ohad, who says he wants to make the most of every moment, enjoys math, science, and many sports. He also represents his school in his city's youth committee. Ohad hopes to earn a Bachelor's Degree in mathematics before finishing high school, and wants to become a Boy Scouts leader.
