Molly’s favorite place to be is in the kitchen, cooking and baking, and one day, she hopes to be a professional chef. But ingredients are not the only things she’s mixing these days. This busy 12-year-old loves to try as many different activities as she can, from arts and crafts to science to sports. She is a straight-A student who won third place in the school science fair for her project about her pet rat. She currently plays softball and plans to try out for both the swim team and the basketball team—and, as if that weren’t enough, Molly rides a unicycle.

At Children’s Congress, Molly says, “I hope that people will see that type 1 diabetes can affect all types of people.”
