Age: 14
Age at T1D diagnosis: 3

Max enjoys running cross country, skiing and golfing. Max was diagnosed at such a young age that he doesn’t remember it. He says, “I was diagnosed when I was three. This was very hard on my parents. I was so young that I didn’t understand what was happening.” In the past 10 years, Max and his family have been involved in JDRF trying to make life better for people with T1D. His JDRF One Walk team, ‘Max’s Crew’, has raised close to $300,000, and his mother is a mentor to newly diagnosed families. What Max wants most of all is a cure for T1D. He says, “I could actually live diabetes free. That would be so great. Please help make that a reality.”
