Age: 14
Age at T1D diagnosis: 6

Max has a busy schedule participating in student council, lacrosse, basketball, cross country and the International Club. Max also makes time for raising T1D awareness through JDRF events such as JDRF One Walk, Gala and golf tournaments, and has also served as a mentor, JDRF Youth Ambassador and Youth Advocacy Leader. Max could not be more excited to come to Washington, D.C. and use his voice to advocate on behalf of the T1D community. When you ask him why he wants to participate in Children’s Congress, he replies, “I want to find a cure for type 1 diabetes, but understand that it takes more than one motivated person to achieve such a lofty goal.”
