Age at T1D diagnosis: 10

Lexi is described as “a role model for young people with T1D.” Her willingness to do all she can for T1D research has made her a shining star in her community. Lexi is a JDRF Youth Ambassador and Social Media Ambassador, and enjoys traveling, skiing, hiking, paddle boarding, photography, hanging out with friends and listening to music in her free time. She is on her school’s Student Council and volunteers for a multitude of organizations. She plans to get a degree in Marketing & Communications in college, with a minor in either Spanish or Religious Studies. Lexi is excited to attend Children’s Congress, and loves to mentor youth with T1D. Lexi advises, “let the hard moments push you to be stronger, not defeat you.”
