Lauren enjoys soccer, basketball, swimming and skiing. Her favorite music is the soundtrack from Hamilton. When she grows up, Lauren wants to create funny commercials for Progressive, Allstate or Geico. At times, managing her T1D can be tough, Lauren says, “I try really hard to not go high or low, but it is not easy to control. Even with the newest technology.” She and her family take part in JDRF One Walk, their JDRF Gala and other fundraisers for T1D research. Lauren has also met with her Representative to talk about how T1D impacts her life. “T1D takes a lot of time, money and energy. I think a lot about what people could do if that time, money and energy could be spent on other things.”
