Diagnosed at age two, Kyle is a caring boy who is passionate about life. He is learning how to use his blood sugar meter, and has participated twice in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes. Kyle's parents are also active advocates for diabetes awareness; his mom is part of a group advocating regular blood glucose checks for all children, and the family is organizing a community initiative for Halloween called Trick-A-Thon, to pass out information about type 1 during Halloween and asking for donations to JDRF. Kyle likes playing baseball and golf with his dad, and is inspired by Jay Cutler, who has diabetes and plays professional football. He also loves talking to people and making new friends. "I want [Congress] to meet me and the other delegates and realize that they need to work hard for us, because we are awesome children, and their future leaders," Kyle says.
