Age: 17
Age at T1D diagnosis: 8

Keyonna has always been a very ambitious and creative person, and now is excited to take her passion to Washington, D.C. for Children’s Congress. She is a very talented writer, dancer and photographer. Keyonna is especially passionate about social justice and politics, and hopes to one day have a strong platform to make change. She is also committed to improving the lives of people in the T1D community. Keyonna got her continuous glucose monitor after having two seizures last year, so she knows firsthand the impact that having the best T1D technology can have. Keyonna explains, “I realize how incredibly fortunate I am to live in a time where my condition can be chronic rather than lethal.”
