Kerry knew about diabetes before she was diagnosed. At a very young age, she was involved in a clinical trial for high-risk relatives of people with type 1, since her older sister had been diagnosed at age four. Kerry was eventually diagnosed at age four as well, and is now excited about her recent participation in the Artificial Pancreas Project. She works hard to help raise money toward a cure, serving on the Junior Board for her JDRF chapter, and speaking and volunteering at fundraising events. As a delegate, Kerry is excited to be a part of something meaningful in the fight against diabetes, and wants to meet others who share her passion. Kerry's main hobby is theatre, and she also enjoys reading, writing, and doing crafts. She would like to travel the world to experience new cultures, and aspires to one day open an art school.
