Age at T1D diagnosis: 7

Katie loves playing sports, particularly hockey and skiing, and has even competed in the British Ski Championships. Katie is sure to keep an especially close eye on her blood sugars when she’s being active, and is grateful for the advancements in T1D tech like CGMs that make her life a little bit easier. Katie is passionate about raising awareness about T1D, and is excited to bring her enthusiasm to Children’s Congress, saying “the most important thing is T1D research, which will eventually help us find a cure, and I will do whatever I can to help make sure people know that.”
