Age: 17
Age at T1D diagnosis: 11

Jocelyn is passionate about everything she does. From competitive rock climbing to writing and photography, Jocelyn is a well-rounded teen who hasn’t let T1D stop her since her diagnosis six years ago. She has been involved with every JDRF event in her local Chapter, and enjoys speaking to younger kids about living with T1D. Now, Jocelyn is excited to take her expertise to Children’s Congress. Jocelyn says, “people with T1D need advocacy and conversation, and I hope that the U.S. Congress can take advocacy to the next—much needed—level.” When Jocelyn is older, she would like to do something in the medical field likely specializing in physical therapy or endocrinology.
