Jackson is very active and enjoys playing baseball, soccer, tennis, wrestling and swimming. He would like to be an astronaut and a bull fighter when he grows up. Jackson has participated in numerous T1D clinical trials, including one for Dexcom. He and his family also take part in their local JDRF One Walk with ’Team Action Jackson’ and their JDRF Gala. Jackson isn’t shy about spreading awareness by speaking to his friends and classmates about managing his diabetes. He also recently visited his Congressman to talk about how T1D affects him every day. Although Jackson has never let T1D stop him from doing anything, he often asks when he will no longer have the disease. He says, “I hope you find a cure for my diabetes.”
