Jack is very active and can usually be found in the water! Whether he’s in the pool participating in competitive swimming year-round or out on the lake with his family wakeboarding. When Jack was diagnosed with T1D, it was a huge adjustment for him and his entire family, but he says, “advancements in T1D research have been helpful to me because it makes it much easier to control my blood sugar levels and keeps me healthy.” As an adult, Jack sees himself becoming a mechanical engineer.

Jack and his family have been incredibly involved in raising money for T1D research, and spreading awareness within their community. Jack is excited to head to DC to advocate for continued advancements in T1D technology and research so that life for the T1D community can continue to improve.
