Hannah is a born leader, certified scuba instructor and JV lacrosse player. As a member of Star Leadership, she has worked on solutions to important problems in her community. She’s also led the charge against T1D by speaking publicly about her experience with the disease as a JDRF Youth Ambassador. A talented fundraiser, Hannah has helped raise a staggering $160,000 for T1D research through her participation in the JDRF Walk with her team, Hannah’s Hikers. “The positive part of having this disease is that it has made me a better public speaker. I love speaking at our chapter events because I know that I am raising awareness for JDRF,” she explains. “Knowing that my story inspires people to get involved with JDRF makes me feel that I have accomplished something great.”
JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Our strength lies in our exclusive focus and singular influence on the worldwide effort to end T1D.
