Hannah is inspired by people who do not let obstacles like diabetes stop them from living a full life. Diagnosed at age three, she has her eyes set on the fashion and entertainment industries. She loves to sing, dance, and play piano.

Hannah is inspired by people who do not let obstacles like diabetes stop them from living a full life. Diagnosed at age three, she has her eyes set on the fashion and entertainment industries. She loves to sing, dance, and play piano. But one of Hannah's most important activities is giving back to the community that has supported her in the fight against diabetes. Following her mother's wise words, "Nice gets nice back," Hannah won the Kohl's Kids Who Care scholarship for collecting clothes, toys, and food for those in need. She also volunteers with JDRF, serving as a Junior Ambassador for two years. The Rowan family has raised about $10,000 every Walk season since 2001, and they mentor families of newly diagnosed children. Says Hannah, "I think that if we educate the people in our communities about diabetes…they will pull together and make this disease a memory."
