Dancing, wakeboarding, tubing and swimming keep Emma busy. She loves ballet and jazz (she takes classes twice a week), and in the summer she loves spending time at the lake. But she’s also an avid advocate for T1D awareness. “We make a JDRF Walk video each year showing what my life is like with type 1 diabetes. Each year we make a new video to show how their donations have helped me and how technology advances each year,” she explains. “We also make awesome Walk shirts each year and give them to each team member. During the JDRF Walk, I show the video to my entire elementary school.” Emma has even made a TV appearance to share information about JDRF Walk with others.
