Age: 12
Age at Diagnosis: 2

Ellie is very proud of all she has done for JDRF: 9 One Walks, 2 Galas, 2 lemonade stands, 4 years as a Youth Ambassador, 7 class presentations, and more! She’s also been featured on a magazine cover and in a book to raise T1D awareness. She has a booth at her school’s Celebration of Learning Night, where she teaches kids and parents about T1D.

Some of Ellie’s interests include drawing, playing the viola, ice skating, and taking care of her cat, Remy. She’s especially proud of having all A’s in school! When Ellie grows up, she’d like to be an endocrinologist. “I want to help kids who are going through the same things I am going through right now.” She also plans to find a cure for T1D, climb a mountain, and have many cats!
