Since she was three, Elianna has been a JDRF Youth Ambassador, willing to stand before crowds and introduce herself as a girl with diabetes. She and her parents have worked hard at JDRF fundraisers, encouraged senators to support the Special Diabetes Program, and participated with "Elianna's Angels" at the Walk to Cure Diabetes, raising over $8,000 in three years.

Says her mother, "Elianna is a very happy, passionate [six]-year-old, and I believe she could serve as an example of a young child that endures so much, yet is able to overcome it as well." Elianna loves starring in dance recitals, practicing music at Kindermusik, and taking swimming lessons. She also enjoys taking care of her dolls, and wants to be a mother when she grows up.
