Age: 16
Age at T1D diagnosis: 3

Academics are very important to Drew—and his GPA is proof of that. He also loves wrestling, which has become more manageable since he got his CGM. Drew is very committed to T1D advocacy. He says, “I have found so many great people who share my passion and commitment to end this terrible disease.” He and his family take part in JDRF One Walk and JDRF Galas, attend Promise to Remember Me meetings and Drew’s mother is on the Board for their local JDRF chapter. Now, Drew is considering a future in political science and policy creation. “We have accomplished a lot. But we need to take this to the next level.”
