Davis loves sports and is a starting lacrosse player, and captain of the soccer team at his school. He’s a member of the National Junior Honor Society and recently received his school’s Core Values Award, something he’s very proud of because he was chosen by his teachers and classmates. When he’s older, he envisions being an endocrinologist to help people with T1D live better lives.

Davis’ mom and two other family members also have T1D, and his grandmother and great aunt founded their local JDRF chapter in 1995, so his family has been very involved in JDRF One Walks (his team is Davis Dragons), Galas, Rides, and other fundraisers for many years. These efforts not only give hope to the T1D community, but to Davis as well. “My dream for the future is to do whatever I want without T1D being this ball and chain that is holding me back.”
