Age: 13
Age at T1D diagnosis: 5

Catchie hasn’t let T1D stand in her way of being a competitive gymnast—practicing and competing for 20 hours each week—and dreams of becoming a veterinarian one day. She has participated in several JDRF events including JDRF One Walk, Gala and various advocacy initiatives. Catchie is looking forward to being a part of Children’s Congress to help get steps closer to a day where she may be able to live without the disease. “Overcoming T1D has made me into the person I am today, but there is nothing more I want than a cure!”
