One day, Caroline wants to be a professional soccer player, an artist, an orthodontist, and a mom. She also wants to attend Duke University and drive a yellow sports car. But, "more than all the other stuff," Caroline wants a cure for diabetes. Diagnosed in 2007, she has participated in the JDRF Walk with her team of 95 friends, "Caroline's Crusaders." Caroline was also featured in a fundraising video for the JDRF Dream Gala, and in a video for the Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center at Hoag Hospital to thank donors. Caroline is active on her soccer team, the Slammers, and was asked by her third grade teacher to be "Governor" of her class. She enjoys tennis, piano, reading historical fiction, cooking with her mom, and playing with American Girl dolls with her sister. In the fight against diabetes, Caroline says she will do everything she can to help.
