Blake wants to give back, perhaps by becoming an endocrinologist someday. His first goal is to help others. “I dream to make a change in someone’s life even if it isn’t in endocrinology. After all, if I can help someone, maybe they will go on to be nicer people and help others themselves. I could start a web of people who help others, which, in turn, will help more and more people,” he shares. He’s already started that “web” of kindness, by leading his JDRF Walk team, “Blake’s Dream Team,” giving presentations on T1D, and raising funds at a yearly pancake breakfast benefit. He also enjoys football, reading, video games and participating in math and science clubs. He’s here to advocate for technological advances and, of course, a cure for T1D.
