Bauer is very interested in technology—he recently built his own computer! He’s been in a few clinical trials related to T1D technology and knows this research will help find cures. He also enjoys cooking and helping his mom with catering jobs. His dream is to become a chef or electrical engineer, and this drives his passion for fundraising and advocating for T1D research. “I want to be able to do these things without the fear of being able to manage my diabetes or the cost of my supplies.”

One of Bauer’s proudest moments was attending the event at the White House where President Biden signed an Executive Order to expand access to the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid. He’s looking forward to connecting with other kids with T1D just like him!
