Annabelle enjoys deer hunting, fishing, softball and cheerleading. She wants to attend college and pursue a career in public relations or education. Annabelle is also very committed to promoting T1D awareness. She says that having the disease “inspired me to fight back by creating my own personal [advocacy] platform, Just Too Sweet!” Her platform was even adopted by a region of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. Annabelle is also a JDRF Youth Advocate Leader, the team captain of her ‘Belle’s Bunch’ JDRF One Walk team and has taken part in four Promise to Remember Me campaigns. She says, “With the announcement of the artificial pancreas, we are so close to finding a cure and a new normal for me and countless others.”
