Anna stays active with tennis, track and ski racing. Her proudest accomplishments include placing second in a half marathon, qualifying for the New York State ski race, and qualifying to travel to Russia to ski race in the International Children’s Games. An ardent advocate for T1D awareness, she has run in the Cleveland Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon, benefiting JDRF, and does the annual JDRF Walk. This year, she has plans to organize a 5k fundraiser to benefit T1D research, and she’s already appeared in several JDRF promotional videos. Anna arrives at JDRF Children’s Congress ready to learn more about new advances in T1D care and the potential for a cure. She says Congress’s support is necessary to help people with T1D “live normal, long, healthy lives.”
