Age: 9
Age at Diagnosis: 4

Anna is rightfully very proud that she is able to talk to anyone, even strangers about what life with T1D is like. She speaks to her classmates each year about T1D, has spoken to her church friends, and has worked with her mom to film videos for social media that help spread T1D awareness. When she was diagnosed with T1D, Anna told her mom, “Mommy, we will not let diabetes win, WE are the winners!”

Anna is a busy third grader who enjoys school, playing basketball and soccer, creating science experiments at home to make different types of slime, drawing, and giving her dog, Atlas, lots of love. When she grows up, Anna hopes to use her love of animals to become a veterinarian or become a nurse to help kids like her who live with T1D.
