Age: 15
Age at T1D diagnosis: 4

Between gymnastics, running, snowboarding and ski jumping, Andy is basically a one-man Olympics team. He is a competitive gymnast and travels to competitions throughout New England each year. Andy loves fitness, and when he grows up he would like to either work in endocrinology or open his own gym. He is also a very talented musician, playing piano, guitar, trombone and ukulele. Andy was diagnosed with T1D at the age of four, and enjoys helping to raise awareness about the disease. He looks forward to speaking with his elected officials at Children’s Congress because he believes “Congress’s continued support of diabetes-related issues may one day lead to a world without type 1 diabetes.”
