Anderson has a lot of things that take up his time! He is on both the soccer and tennis teams at school, a member of the student council, and volunteers with a number of organizations. He also enjoys skiing, playing pickleball, and running, and sees himself working in the medical field or with wildlife. Anderson balances all these activities while also managing the challenges of T1D and makes time to raise awareness around the disease.

Anderson and his family are very involved in raising T1D awareness within their community, raising money to fund research through JDRF Galas and One Walks, and using their voices to advocate for the T1D community. “Technology advancements helping us to live better lives and the drug therapies developed have been incredible breakthroughs, but there is more to come.”

Anderson is excited to come to DC and speak about how he has benefited from advancements in T1D technology and other research, and why it’s important to keep the momentum going!
