Age: 13
Age at T1D diagnosis: 2

With his younger brother recently diagnosed with T1D, Aidan is attending JDRF Children’s Congress with a renewed determination for a cure. “My family was already working really hard to help JDRF with events and fundraising, but now we are more charged than ever. I would love to talk to Congress about my life, and my family’s lives, with diabetes.” An Ambassador, Aidan has participated in events at different companies to encourage employees to give back to JDRF, has worked staff on JDRF Gala events, and has been interviewed on the radio and TV to promote JDRF in his area. Aidan plays baseball year–round, is a member of the chess team, and performed a lead role in his school’s Peter Pan production, which involved three months of intensive practice. “I loved it!” says Aidan.
