Carson enjoys playing "soccer minis," swimming, jumping on the trampoline with his brothers, working in the yard with his dad, and pushing people in their wheelchairs at the nursing home where his mom works. Diagnosed with type 1 at age two, he recently learned how to give himself insulin injections, and is committed to staying as healthy as possible while supporting JDRF on the road to a cure.

Carson and his entire family have participated in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes, and formed their own team, "Carson's Crew for a Cure." As a delegate, Carson hopes to help educate Congress about the promising research in the works, and why it is so important to continue funding. Carson is interested in animals and thinks he would like to become a farmer one day.
